The holidays have arrived!

Not only do I love this time of year, but I love seeing all of the gorgeous lights and decorations around town. Whether you're just visiting or have lived here for your entire life, there are a few holiday displays that you must see to get you in the holiday spirit!

1. Candy Cane Lane

December 9th, 2019 - January 1st, 2020

Monday - Thursday 4pm - 9:30pm; Friday and Saturday 4pm - 11pm.


A true Seattle Holiday Tradition since 1949, Candy Cane Lane is sure to impress!

This neighborhood of 1920s era Tudors goes all out for the holidays with colorful lights,

sleighs, reindeer, candy canes and surprise appearances from Santa himself!  

2. Denny Park

Stroll around around this South Lake Union park and take in the sights and sounds of the Holidays!

Grand Opening celebration is Friday, December 6th from 4:00pm to 9pm.  Enjoy live music,

food trucks, a holiday market and more!

3. WildLights at Woodland Park Zoo


5500 Phinney Ave N

Seattle, WA 98103

Open now through January 5, 2020

Nightly from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Closed December 2, 3, 9, 10, 24 and 25


Amazing display with sparkling lights, faux snow, animal encounters and our favorite

4. Seattle Christmas Ship Festival

Now through December 23, 2019


Another annual tradition, the Seattle Christmas Ship Festival, has been lighting up 

area waters since 1949.  You don't need a boat to enjoy the lights as there are several

viewing events planned at various locations around Seattle and the Eastside. Visit the

5. Bellevue Botanical Garden

November 30th through December 31, 2019

Nightly 4:30pm to 9:00pm


Celebrating 25 years of Garden d'Lights the Bellevue Botanical Garden is worth a visit.  With over

half a million sparkling lights, the garden is transformed into a whimsical display that will take

6. Ivar's Clam Lights

Now through January 1, 2020

Nightly from 5:00pm to 9pm


Presented by Ivar's Restaurants this free event is in it's 26th year.  Take in the festive

scene on an easy to navigate path along  the shores of Lake Washington. With over 200,000

lights this is one you will not want to miss. Watch out for the sparkling running clams!

7. Enchant

Now through December 29, 2020

Nightly from 5:00pm to 9pm


Check out the Worlds Largest Christmas Light Maze or strap on a pair of skates and glide 

through the ice-skating trail.  Millions of lights await you and a Holiday Market too!

8. Go Old School

And last but not least, bundle up, grab a hot cocoa, turn on some holiday music and load up the 

Family Truckster . There are several neighborhoods in the area that have Holiday light displays.

Sometimes driving around and enjoying the company of loved ones is just what you need!
